Island Season 1 Part 2 OTT Release Date: K-Drama Island S1 Part 2 to stream on Amazon Prime Video from February 24

The Korean Drama Island (also known as Aillaendeu) premiered on December 30, 2022, on TVing in South Korea. The OTT partner for this web series is Amazon Prime Video. The first part consists of six episodes that ended on January 13, leaving the audience wanting more. The popularity of the show can be gauged from the fact that soon after its release, Island entered Amazon Prime Video’s top 10 in 22 countries for the very first time. The show will be back for the second part, and the makers have already announced that this part, too, will have six episodes. Island Season 1 Part 2 OTT Release Date: Where and when to stream the series online

Just like the initial part of Season 1, part 2 of the series will be available on Amazon Prime Video. Indian fans that have a Prime membership can start streaming from February 24, 2023. Part 2 is also excepted to be available in Korean original audio, with subtitles in English, Hindi and Korean.

About Island Season 1 Part 1 

The first part of the series Island comprises six episodes, each of which has a runtime of over fifty-five minutes. These episodes were available on the streamer along with the TV airing, and every week two new episodes were available for users.

Island’s storyline revolves around Won Mi-ho (Lee Da-hee), who is a Korean heiress working for her Dad’s business. After being banished by her father to Jeju Island by her father, Mi-ho is hunted by demons. She is protected by a demon slayer, Van (Kim Nam-gil), who she later hires as her bodyguard. Parallely, a young priest, Johan (Cha Eun-woo), is sent to protect her. Will they both be able to save Mi-ho the mystery of why the demons are behind her makes the crux of the plot? The show is entertaining & spooky, and its various plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat. It has been very well picturised, and the three leads have delivered a superlative performance. Cha Eun-woo has been associated with romantic roles and has garnered heaps of praise for his portrayal of a ‘hot priest’.

Island Season 1 Part 2  Cast and Crew

Kim Nam-gil, Lee Da-hee, Cha Eun-woo and Sung Joon essay the central characters in the web series. It is based on Island by Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. It is made under YLab, Studio Dragon and Gilstory Ent. The fantasy action thriller is written by Oh Bo-hyu. Bae Jong is its director. Beak Cheung-hee and Mi Tae-hee are the producers of Island.

Island Season 1 Part 2 Storyline (Spoilers ahead)

The first season ends with Yohan ending his own brother to save Won Mi-ho. While in the second season, one is expecting her to finally awaken and join forces with Yohan and Van to end the demon, but things are going to be hard for this trio. We already saw Gangtan had made an army and was ready to lodge into the fight mode. Fans are expecting more intense fight sequences in the following episodes.

A new trailer had dropped recently, and it showed that Van has switched to his human side to go against Gangtam. The same trailer also shows Yohan severely injured, and that has sparked rumours that he will die in part 2. We certainly hope that is not the case and looking forward to part 2 on Feb 24, 2023
