Xiaomi Pad 6, 6 Pro launch timeline tipped, read what’s known so far

Xiaomi Pad 6 series is in the works for the Chinese market. Reports have revealed that the lineup comprises the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the Pad 6 Pro, which are said to have respective codenames, such as Pipa and Liuqin. The Pro may not launch outside of China, but the vanilla mode is expected to release in China, India, and the global market.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that tablets from major smartphone manufacturers in China are gearing up to launch flagship tablets powered by the Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Dimensity 9000, which will be launched in March and April. According to recent reports, products such as the OPPO Pad 2, Vivo Pad 2, and Xiaomi Pad 6 series will be released in China within the next two months. Here is a look at what to expect from the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi Pad 6 will house an 11-inch IPS LCD display that supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It will support a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro model is also expected to house the same display but offer a higher refresh rate of 144Hz. Some contradictory reports have claimed that the Pro model may feature an AMOLED display.

The Pad 6 may feature the Snapdragon 870 chipset, whereas the Pro model will have the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Both devices are expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

There is no word on the battery size of both models, but they are expected to support 67W fast charging. As per a recent report, the Pad 6 Pro will have quad speakers, NFC connectivity, stylus and keyboard support, a fingerprint scanner, and a dual-camera setup, which will include a depth sensor. Speaking of cameras, a leaked image of the Pad 6 series that the Chinese publication CNMO shared revealed that its camera module will resemble the Xiaomi 12 series quite a bit.
