Highlights
  • BSNL has discontinued four recharge packs in India, including Rs 71, Rs 104, Rs 135, and Rs 395
  • The country’s state-run telecom network plans to roll out 4G this year

In an effort to compete with private players, BSNL is making many changes to its plans. In spite of the brand not saying anything, the telco has removed Rs 71, Rs 104, Rs 135, and Rs 395 plans from its website. However, these plans haven’t been particularly favoured and do not seem to have been of much benefit to BSNL. There is a possibility that BSNL will introduce new tariffs to replace the removed plans and offer more benefits to customers in the coming days.

There are plans to roll out 4G and possibly 5G networks in the country this year and next year by the state-owned telecom network. When the latest network is implemented, the new move could be a strategic plan to introduce new plans.

Special tariff plans have been removed by BSNL

BSNL Rs 71: To recall the BSNL packs that have been removed. In the Rs 71 pack, you could call for 30 paise per minute. There are no free calls or messages. A 30-day usage value of Rs 20 is also given to customers. Customers do not receive any additional benefits.

BSNL Rs 104: This offer was valid for 18 days and included special discount coupons and benefits worth Rs 99.

BSNL Rs 135: As for the Rs 135 STV plan. This plan provided 1440 minutes of calling time, including on-net and off-net minutes. However, customers will not receive any data benefits. Validity was 24 days with this pack.

BSNL Rs 395: This special tariff voucher allowed you to call 3000 minutes on-net and 1800 minutes off-net. Customers had to pay 20 paise per minute to consume these benefits. In addition, the plan included 2GB of data per day for 71 days. After the data is finished, the speed is reduced to 80 Kbps.

BSNL STV Rs 269 and Rs 769 plans

In addition to removing the plans, BSNL has introduced a Festival Dhamaka offer, which includes STV Rs 269 and STV Rs 769. As part of the former plan, customers can make unlimited calls, use 2GB of data per day, send 100 messages per day, access the Zing app, and subscribe to Eros Now.

BSNL STV Rs 769 comes with unlimited calling, 2GB of data per day, BSNL Tune access, 100 messages per day, content from the Lokdhun app, Zing app access, and 90-day Eros Now Entertainment access.
