Highlights
  • The French manufacturer started accepting pre-bookings for the EV last month
  • Citroën hasn’t made a whole lot of changes to the EV on the design front
  • The EV can run for up to 320 km on a full charge, courtesy of its 29.2 kWh battery pack

After unveiling the Ë-C3 in India not too long ago, French automaker Citroën has now offered additional information on the electric car’s availability, as well as the pricing. Surprisingly, the company isn’t taking Tata Motors’ approach in terms of pricing, with the latter’s Tiago EV rising to the top of the EV charts over the past few months, largely due to its introductory pricing.

The manufacturer said the Ë-C3 would be sold in two unique versions known as Feel and Live. As we’ve already learned, the EV is basically the standard ICE version of the Citroën C3 in exterior and interior design, with the electric powertrain being the key differentiating factor.

Citroën Ë-C3 pricing and availability

In addition to the standard Live and Feel versions, Citroën also offers models known as Feel Vibe Pack and Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack, which happens to be the top-end version in the lineup. The entry-level Ë-C3 Live carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 11.50 lakhs, while its corresponding Feel version will sell for Rs 12.13 lakhs. Meanwhile, the Feel Vibe Pack and the Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack variants are priced at Rs 12.28 lakhs and Rs 12.43 lakhs, respectively.

With bookings opening in January, the company is expected to commence deliveries any day. Those who pre-booked the Citroën Ë-C3 will be prioritized over newer buyers, while smaller cities will likely have to have to wait longer unless their region has the automaker’s La Maison outlet.

Citroën Ë-C3 specifications and range

The Ë-C3 is powered by a front-mounted motor that delivers 56 BHP and 142 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the top speed is capped at 107 kmph, while the company says the Ë-C3 can go from 0-60 kmph in 6.8 seconds. This is paired with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, capable of running for up to 320 km on a full charge. Features like dual airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system are also present.

As for charging the EV, Citroën provides a standard 3.3 kW AC charger, while the vehicle can also be plugged into DC fast chargers. Customers also get a 7-year/1,40,000 km warranty on the battery and a 5-year/1,00,000 km warranty on the onboard motor. The car gets a 3-year/1,25,000 km warranty coverage, which is standard among EVs in the country.
