Highlights
  • A leaked video showing front glass panels for iPhone 15 series has appeared
  • It reveals a display design similar to the iPhone 14 Pro series
  • Like the Pro models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will support Dynamic Island

iPhone 15 series front glass panel has appeared in a leaked video shared by tipster ShrimpApplePro. Last year, Apple launched the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. The vanilla and Plus models sported a notched display, whereas the Pro variants arrived with a new display design, which is dubbed “Dynamic Island” by Apple.

Last month, 9to5Mac leaked the CAD renders of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models. The renders revealed that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will have a Dynamic Island display like the Pro models. The leaked video that has surfaced now corroborates the recent leaks surrounding the display design of the next-generation iPhones.

Leaked video reveals iPhone 15 series display design

The above video reveals three front glass panels that seem to slightly differ from each other. The one in the centre appears to be the largest of them all, which indicates it may belong to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. It can be seen sporting very thin bezels.

The front glass panel on the left is also big in size, but not as big as the one in the middle.  It also features slim bezels. Hence, the leftmost glass may belong to the iPhone 15 Pro.

The front glass on the right has slightly thicker bezels and sports a Dynamic Island design like the other two models. This indicates that this one may belong to the iPhone 15.

Recent reports have revealed that the iPhone 15 series will be the first Apple smartphones to come equipped with a USB Type-C port. The above-mentioned tipster had previously claimed that the iPhone 15 series will only support USB Type-C accessories that are authorised by the company’s Made for iPhone (MFi) programme. This also indicates that using non-MFI-accredited charging cables could result in slower charging speed or other performance limitations. Reports have revealed that Foxconn has started mass-producing MFI-compliant accessories like EarPods and cables.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series in September 2023. Some reports have claimed that the Pro Max variant may get renamed as the iPhone 15 Ultra. The Cupertino-based company is also said to be working on a new iPhone SE model, which may launch in 2024.
