Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights to the film Vaathi. The movie will premiere on the OTT platform on Friday, March 17, 2023. The Telugu version of the film, Sir, will also be available on Netflix starting on the same date. The streamer has confirmed the film’s digital release date.

Sun TV shared the official trailer of Vaathi on YouTube more than a month ago. So far, the trailer has received over 6.1 million views and 290K likes. Initially, reports suggested that Aha bagged the movie’s digital rights. Sun TV Network owns the satellite rights to Vaathi. Its principal photography started in January 2022. And the filming was completed in October.

Bharathiraja and Sumanth have a cameo appearance in Vaathi. Venky Atluri is the writer and director of the film. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are the producers, and it is made under the banners of Fortune Four Cinemas, Sithara Entertainments, and Srikara Studios. G.V. Prakash Kumar composed the music.
