Realme C55 India launch date confirmed, landing page goes live

Realme C55 will be launched at 12:30 pm on March 21st, 2023, in India. The device has already launched in other markets, such as Indonesia and Europe. Ahead of the Indian launch, its landing page revealing its key features has gone live on Realme India’s website and Flipkart.

One of the key features of the Realme C55 is its Mini Capsule, which offers several functions. The feature is similar to the Dynamic Island available on the iPhone 14 series. The Mini Capsule can display notifications for low battery, charging status, and data usage. Additionally, it provides information on daily activity levels, including step count and walking distance.

The Realme C55’s landing page reveals that it has a 64-megapixel AI camera, and there is support for 33W fast charging. The company claims that the C55’s 5,000mAh battery can achieve 50 percent charge in 29 minutes. It also confirms that the device has 8GB of RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM.

The landing page also states that those who subscribe will receive a lottery code that can be redeemed on the launch day. Winners will stand a chance to win the Realme C55, the Watch 2, the Buds Wireless, the Pocket Bluetooth Speaker, and a Rs 200 off coupon code.

Since the C55 has already been launched in Indonesia and Europe, its specifications are no secret. Here is a look at the other specs of the device.

Realme C55 specifications

The Realme C55 boasts a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 680 nits. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and can be paired with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

In terms of camera, the Realme C55 has a dual rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera has an 8-megapixel camera. The handset runs on Android 13 and has the Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

The phone comes with 128GB / 256GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC Charging and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device measures 7.89mm in thickness and weighs around 190 grams.

Realme C55 price in India

There is no word on the price of the Realme C55 for the Indian market. In Indonesia, the C55 is available in two variants, such as 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Both variants are IDR 2,499,000 (~Rs 13,350) and IDR 2,999,000 (~Rs 16,050), respectively. It comes in Rainy Night and Sunshower colour options. Once announced it will be also available for purchase through Flipkart.
