Rules for Orange Cap

  • The Orange cap is awarded to the player with the most number of runs in the tournament. In case of a tie, then the player that has managed this feat in the least number of balls is declared the winner of Orange Cap.
  • The player who will get the Orange Cap is announced only by the end of the match. So if the equation changes during the match, the player who was awarded the Orange Cap in the previous match will continue to wear it till the end and then hand it over to the player who has overtaken him.
