Dead by Daylight Mobile has been banned by the Indian government. Behaviour Interactive and NetEase recently launched an upgraded version of the game for Android and iOS devices worldwide on March 15. The official Twitter account of Dead by Daylight Mobile announced the game’s removal from the Indian app stores following the government’s ban.

Although the government has not provided any explanation for the ban, it appears that MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) has banned Dead by Daylight Mobile in India due to concerns similar to those raised against games like Free Fire and BGMI/PUBG Mobile. It’s worth noting that the game was published by NetEase Games, a Chinese company.

Dead by Daylight Mobile’s removal from Indian app stores was announced by the company in compliance with the interim order from the MeitY. As per the company’s statement, players in India will no longer be able to access or play the game once it is removed from the storefronts.

Over concerns surrounding data security and privacy, the MeitY in India has previously banned games such as BGMI and Free Fire and hundreds of Chinese apps. These games and apps were developed or published by companies like Tencent, NetEase, and Alibaba.

Dead by Daylight Mobile is a popular multiplayer survival horror game. The gameplay involves four players trying to escape a dangerous environment while being pursued by a fifth player, who takes on the role of a killer. The game’s removal from app stores in India has come as a surprise to fans, who are now left wondering about the future of the game in the country.
