OnePlus Nord Buds 2 specs revealed ahead of release

The launch of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 is not a big secret, with the company confirming recently that it’s on the way. A new revelation from tipster Mukul Sharma is now offering some insights on the features of the Nord Buds 2.

First and foremost, Sharma claims the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 will be able to block background noise of up to 25dB using active noise cancellation or ANC. This feature was absent from its predecessor, making it a crucial addition. Furthermore, we learn that these earbuds plus the case can run for up to 36 hours on a full charge, while fast charging support is also mentioned.

More OnePlus Nord Buds 2 specs

OnePlus will reportedly offer up to four microphones with the new Nord Buds 2, in addition to 12.4mm titanium dynamic drivers. Sharma says the earbuds come equipped with IP55-certification, making them an ideal companion for the gym. As 91Mobiles notes, a recent OnePlus teaser suggested that the Nord Buds 2 could offer up to 5 hours of runtime with a 10-minute charge, an aspect that remains unchanged from the first-gen Nord Buds.  ​

Meanwhile, leakster Paras Guglani said that the Nord Buds 2 would be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Buds Ace, which recently broke cover in China not too long ago. There are some notable upgrades on the Nord Buds 2 compared to last year’s predecessor, including improved battery life and water/dust resistance certification.

Interested customers should be able to get the Nord Buds 2 in Lightning White and Thunder Gray colours, Sharma revealed. There’s currently no word on the pricing of the Nord Buds 2, but we would be surprised if the company goes beyond the Rs 2,700 launch price tag of the predecessor.
