Burqa OTT Release Date: Where and When to Stream the Film Digitally

Aha Tamil/ Aha Video has acquired the digital streaming rights to the film Burqa. It is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform on April 7, 2023. Users can avail of the Aha Gold subscription for Rs. 699 annually instead of Rs. 1499 and stream Tamil and Telugu content in 4K video and Dolby; without ads. The Aha Tamil Annual Plan is available for Rs. 365, and the Tamil Quarterly Plan is available for Rs. 149. It will also stream on Simply South worldwide, excluding India, from the same date.

Burqa: About the Film

Think Music bagged the film’s music rights. It is a R. Sivatmikha musical. Kalaiyarasan and Mirnaa play the central characters in it. Sarjun KM is the director of Burqa. Its runtime is one hour and twenty minutes. The NYIFF 2022 nominations for the movie included best film, best actor, and best actress. It is made under the banners of Madras Stories and SKLS Galaxy Mall Productions. G. Balamurugan is the director of photography. B. Pravin Baaskar is the editor, and the screenplay credit goes to Anusuya Vasudevan.

Burqa Storyline

The story revolves around two strangers, Najma (Mirnaa), a twenty-one-year-old, and Suriya (Kalaiyarasan), who are compelled to spend the night together due to unforeseen circumstances.  The love affair between the atheist hitman and the devoted Muslim woman who recently lost her husband is its premise. They get to know one another through discussion and discuss prejudice based on gender and religion. When their worlds meet, they encounter competing ideologies that could change each of their personal lives.
