Fans outside of India can now watch Christy on Simply South. Makers have released the tamil dub of the film on the OTT platform. Sharing the news, Simply South took to social media channels and said, “Surprise, surprise. Malavika Mohanan’s #Christy, now available in TAMIL. Streaming on Simply South worldwide, excluding India.”

Meanwhile, fans in India can watch Christy, in the original language, on SonyLIV.

Christy: Cast and Crew

Christy is directed by Alvin Henry, who marks his directorial debut with this film. The screenplay has been written by Benyamin and G.R. Indugopan, and based on a story by Alvin Henry. The film features Mathew Thomas and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles and was released on February 17, 2023, in Malayalam. The film was shot in Poovar and Maldives. It was produced by Sajai Sebastian and Kannan Satheesan under the production company Rocky Mountains Cinemas. Anend C. Chandran was the cinematographer, Sameera Saneesh was the costume designer, and Govind Vasantha composed the music.

The message conveyed by the film was questionable or not acceptable to some reviews, however, the film was also called as a celebration of unconditional love, as a refreshing change from the typical romantic comedies. The lead performances of Mathew Thomas and Malavika Mohanan were praised for their natural portrayal of their characters. Meanwhile, some critics found the romantic relationship to be one-sided, and the boy’s character was portrayed as naive and immature.
