Xiaomi 14 Pro design leaked, executive claims that it will be better than Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Xiaomi 14 series is likely to launch towards the end of this year in China. The lineup may include three flagship phones: the Xiaomi 14, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. While the Ultra model may debut next year, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro are expected to launch this year.

The Xiaomi 14 series will succeed the Xiaomi 13 lineup, which mainly includes three flagship models, such as the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Ultra. Months before the expected launch of the Xiaomi 14 series, a Xiaomi executive shared some information about the design of the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Some Weibo users asked Wei Xu, the design director of the Xiaomi Industrial Design Department, if the Xiaomi 14 would continue to feature the same design as the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which was announced in 2021. In response, Wei Xu said that the design for the Xiaomi 14 Pro has already been finalised and promised that it will be even more impressive than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra featured a large, black-coloured camera block on the top of its back. It housed a triple camera unit, an LED flash, and a secondary screen for viewing notifications, reminders, and controlling music. There is a possibility that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro may feature a similar rear design but not a secondary display.

On the front, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro may continue to feature a curved-edge OLED panel with a centrally positioned punch-hole. The Xiaomi 14 may arrive as a compact flagship phone, while the 14 Pro could be its larger version.

At present, there is not much known about the Xiaomi 14 lineup. In all likelihood, the Xiaomi 14 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile chipset, which is expected to debut in the fourth quarter of the year. Hence, there is a possibility that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro may debut in November or December this year.
