POCO F5 India launch date has been finally confirmed. The company released the below-shown tweet to confirm that the POCO F5 will be unveiled on May 9 in India. The global launch of the POCO F5 series, which includes the POCO F5 and the POCO F5 Pro, will be held at 20:00 GMT+8 on the same day. While the global market will receive both smartphones, the company is said to only release the POCO F5 in India.

The POCO F5 will arrive as a successor to last year’s POCO F4, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. An official confirmation that was rolled out yesterday revealed that the POCO F5 will come equipped with the all-new Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset. Here is all that is expected from the handset.

The POCO F5 will be announced at 5:30 pm on May 9 in India. Once announced, it will be available for purchase through Flipkart.

POCO F5 specifications (expected)

The POCO F5 is expected to arrive with a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a centrally positioned punch-hole. It will offer an FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will house a 5,500mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2-powered POCO F5 will ship with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will run on the Android 13 OS, which will be layered with MIUI 14. For security, it will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

When it comes to photography, the device will offer a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel triple camera unit on the back. The rear camera setup will also include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

POCO F5 variants, price in India

The POCO F5 is expected to arrive in two configurations, such as 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Rumours are rife that its base model will be priced at around Rs 30,000 in India. It will arrive in three colours, such as black, white, and blue.
