Vivo Y36 receives Bluetooth SIG certification, likely to launch this month

Vivo Y36 Bluetooth listing has been spotted. As the moniker suggests, it will arrive as a successor to last year’s Vivo Y35. Last week, the device was spotted on Geekbench, which suggested that the company could be internally testing its performance before its official announcement.

On Geekbench, the Y36 4G midrange phone was spotted with the model number. Given that the same device received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority at the beginning of this month, it appears that it will become official at some point later this month. Here is a look at what to expect from the Y36.

The Bluetooth SIG listing of the Vivo Y36 reveals that it will arrive with support for Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Unfortunately, it does not tell anything else about the device.

Vivo Y36 specifications (rumoured)

As per other reports, the Vivo Y36 4G will have a massive 6.8-inch LCD panel. It is likely to support FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The initial leak of the Y36 claimed that it would arrive with the Helio G99 chipset. However, its appearance on Geekbench revealed that it has the Snapdragon 680, which is the same chip that powers the Vivo Y35. The listing also revealed that the device has 8GB of RAM and Android 13 OS.

The Y36 will arrive with a 50-megapixel primary camera. It is also expected to come equipped with 128GB of internal storage, 8GB of virtual RAM, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

Vivo Y36 price in India (rumoured) 

At launch, the Y35 was priced at Rs 18,499. The upcoming Vivo Y36 4G will likely be priced between Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,000 in India.
