JioCinema yearly subscription plan announced: What it costs and shows available
Prepend to the content
It was anticipated that JioCinema, may soon introduce paid subscription plans, including a yearly plan. The plan is now live and you will need to subscribe to it in case you want to stream content from HBO or Warner Bros. Currently, the platform is offering free 4K streaming for the existing content. It is also airing the popular Indian Premier League (IPL) in 4K. JioCinema acquired the digital rights to stream IPL in India from 2023 to 2027 by outbidding Disney+ Hotstar. In late 2022, JioCinema also streamed the FIFA World Cup 2022 and has acquired streaming rights to many big-ticket movies such as Vikram Vedha, Bhediya, et al. In April 2023, JioCinema announced its ambitious slate for the year which includes movies such as Dunki and Bloody Daddy among others.
JioCinema paid subscription: Costs benefits
JioCinema’s annual plan is available for Rs 999 and allows users to stream premium content for 12 months. This is the only plan that’s available right now. The subscribers will also get access to the highest video and audio quality and will be able to stream content on mobile, tablet or smart TVs. As a part of this plan, users will be able to stream content on up to four devices simultaneously.
It was earlier revealed through a Reddit post that the premium plans would start as low as Rs 2 per day. There was also a plan that allowed to subscribe to JioCinema for 3 months for as low as Rs 99. However, there has been no official news in regard to these plans and they are also not live on the platform.

JioCinema: Experience and Issues
Just like at the time of FIFA World Cup and initial IPLL matches, there have been some glitches being reported on the Jio App. For example, we are not able to auto-rotate the screen on mobile and tablet. However, as soon as you play the content you are able to do it (Gracias Jio for that). There are also some funny titles that people have noticed on the app while trying to find the content that they can watch

Too many ads for non-paid users
Also, JioCinema has been promoting that the movie Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will be streaming for free. The movie made it to the platform on May 12, 2023, which was a couple of days before the pricing became live. However, users have been compiling about too many ads being shown along with the movie. Of course switching to a paid subscription would sort this out.
How can you play the ad of Vikram Vedha (every 5 mins) while watching Vikram Vedha, and thus ruining the experience !!@JioCinema

Foul language and adult scenes censored
Many people that have subscribed to the premium plan have also been complaining that the scenes have been censored in the shows that have made their way to JioCinema. This could be a deal breaker for a lot of people, who are fans of shows like Game of Thrones and House of Dragon. We have reached out to JioCinema for the same and waiting for their confirmation in this regard.
