While we’re still some months away from the release of the iPhone 15 series, we’ve already come across leaks and rumours pertaining to the 2024 iPhone models — the iPhone 16 lineup. A new report from MacRumors suggests that while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a display size bump, Apple will maintain the same display size for the iPhone 16 and its Plus sibling.
This would mean the inclusion of 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch panels on the 2024 iteration of the premium iPhones. MacRumors cites Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants for this information, who has routinely revealed crucial information about Apple’s display plans.

Young had initially revealed that a larger display could be coming to the Pro models next year. But the source has since added that the display bump would only come to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, meaning the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will likely stick to 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, unchanged from the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.
MacRumors speculates that a bump in the display sizes for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models next year could result in a reduced bezel size or even a design revamp. However, we won’t know if any of these plans materialise until mid-2024.
WWDC 2023 is not far away
In the meantime, there’s plenty to look forward to for Apple fans. Next month’s WWDC could play host to the company’s first-ever 15-inch MacBook Air model, in addition to major software updates to iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS.
