Tecno recently hosted the 2023 Future of Imaging Technology Conference in Delhi. During the event, the company introduced its latest innovation in imaging technology called “Ultimage.” This breakthrough technology, set to debut on the Tecno Camon 20 series, enhances portrait photography, anti-shaking functionality, and lowlight shooting through advanced sensors and AI processing.

The Ultimage, will be showcased on the brand’s premium Phantom and Camon product lines, with the Camon 20 series being the first to feature it. The Camon 20 series includes Camon 20 Premier 5G, Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Camon 20, and is scheduled to arrive by the end of this month. Let’s take a closer look at Tecno’s latest “Ultimage” Imaging technology.

Tecno’s “Ultimage” technology introduces the RGBW Pro Technology, which replaces the traditional RGGB colour filter’s green array solution with a white one. This innovative approach enables the camera to capture significantly more light, enhancing image quality. While this technology is not groundbreaking, with OPPO introducing a similar pixel arrangement in 2021, Tecno’s implementation promises notable improvements.

The company also showcased its Sensor-shift technology, which compensates for shakes and movements up to 5,000 times per second. Unlike traditional methods that rely on lens movement, Sensor-shift utilizes the motion of the camera’s sensor itself. This groundbreaking approach ensures clearer and sharper images, even in challenging conditions.

Tecno’s new Portrait Master Algorithms were also demonstrated, boasting the ability to capture flawless portraits in the first shot. This feature offers users a seamless and effortless photography experience by delivering “one-shot perfect photos.”

In a notable announcement, Tecno revealed that it is among the first smartphone brands to bring the highly anticipated Android 14 upgrade to its devices. This update promises a range of enhancements, including improved privacy, enhanced security, optimized performance, and expanded user customization options.
