HTC certainly isn’t the force it once used to be. But the company continues to churn out new smartphones, focusing on the mid-range market segment. Last year, the company launched the Desire 22 Pro, leaning heavily on the metaverse angle. The company is now bracing to launch its successor, the HTC U23 Pro, on April 18. Ahead of the phone’s official unveiling, tipster Evleaks has shared a render showing the device in two colours — a silver/white model and a black/brown version.
The image also confirms the quad rear cameras on the phone, along with the hole punch selfie camera, which is currently the norm in the smartphone business. HTC has been quite vocal about the HTC U23 Pro’s imminent arrival, revealing that it would leverage the company’s metaverse platform, known as Viverse.

HTC U23 Pro rumoured specifications
Recent leaks have revealed that the HTC U23 Pro could feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is rumoured to be on board, accompanied by 256GB of storage and 8/12GB of RAM.
Of the four rear cameras pictured above, the primary sensor is likely a 108-megapixel unit, aided by an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth imagery, respectively. Meanwhile, the front is believed to sport a 32-megapixel camera.
Fingerprint authentication should also be available, although with a side-mounted button and not an in-display solution that we commonly see on phones today. Android 13 should be the software of choice with the company’s software overlay. Lastly, a 4,600mAh battery pack is rumoured to have 33W fast-wired charging support. Customers should also find a 3.5mm headphone jack on the HTC U23 Pro.
Details on pricing and availability should be available this week when the manufacturer officially unveils the U23 Pro.
