Google will be deleting accounts that have been inactive for two years. The company confirmed it through an official blog post. So, users who haven’t signed into their Google accounts in the past two years will end up losing all the data from Gmail, Docs, Photos, Calendar, Meet, and YouTube.

Google accounts that have been used for an extended period of time are more likely to become compromised. Hence, deleting inactive accounts is one of the ways Google is trying to protect its users from threats like spam and phishing.
