Agent OTT Release Date: The spy action thriller will stream soon on SonyLiv

Agent, the action spy thriller, was released theatrically on April 18, 2023. The movie received mixed reviews from critics. It is still running in theatres. It is made under the banners of AK and Surender 2 Cinema. In the last week of March, it was revealed that SonyLiv had acquired the digital rights to the film. The Telugu entertainer Agent will be available on SonyLiv soon. Earlier, the film was scheduled to premiere on the OTT streaming service on May 19, 2023.

But the OTT platform has now announced the film’s digital release status as streaming soon. It will be streaming on a subscription video-on-demand/ regular membership basis.

AK Entertainments shared the trailer of Agent on YouTube on April 18, 2023. So far, it has received over 17 million views and 273K likes. The film has not made an impact at the box office. It has not breached the break-even point as well. The Agent has been mounted on a budget between Rs. 70 and Rs. 80 crores and has collected only Rs. 10 crores at the box office until now.

Surender Reddy is the screenwriter and director of Agent. Rambrahmam Sunkara, Ajay Sunkara, and Pathi Deepa Reddy are the producers. Rasool Ellore is the director of photography, and Naveen Nooli is the editor. Story credit belongs to Vakkantham Vamsi. George C. Williams has done the cinematography for one song. Hiphop Tamizha, the Chennai-based musical duo, composed the film’s music. Bheems Ceciroleo has done one track for Agent.

Ramakrishna ‘Ricky’  (Akhil Akkineni) had wanted to work for RAW since he was young. When he meets Colonel Mahadev (Mammootty), alias “The Devil,” the head of RAW, he is given the assignment to pose as a rookie to apprehend Dharma (Dino Morea), a.k.a. “The God,” a former RAW agent who deserted the organisation and founded his crime outfit in Budapest. Ricky’s goal is almost realised. With the support of Home Minister Jayadev, Dharma intends to use “Super Cells” against India. Can Ricky succeed in his mission?
