Xiaomi Civi 3 launch date has been announced. At 2 pm (local time) on May 25th, 2023, the company will take off the covers from the Civi 3, which will be a selfie- and female-focused smartphone for the Chinese market.

Last week, Xiaomi confirmed that the Xiaomi Civi 3 will be the first-ever phone to feature the Dimensity 8200-Ultra chipset. Today, the brand revealed the design of the smartphone. The official images have shown that it will sport a refreshed rear design. It also confirmed that it will be available in as many as four colours.

The Xiaomi Civi 3 will come equipped with a circular camera module placed at the upper-left corner of its back. The handset will sport a dual-tone design and will be available in four colour options, such as Rose Purple, Adventure Gold, Mint Green, and Coconut Grey. On the front, it features a curved-edge AMOLED panel that is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The pill-shaped cutout available on the screen will seemingly house a dual selfie camera system like the Xiaomi Civi 2.

The Xiaomi Civi 3 is expected to feature a 6.55-inch OLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come preloaded with Android 13 OS and MIUI 14. On the front, it will have a 32-megapixel (main) + 32-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual selfie camera unit. The back panel of the phone is said to be equipped with an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX800-series primary camera.

The Dimensity 8200-Ultra-powered smartphone may offer 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage in its topmost variant. It will house a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It has a thickness of 7.56mm and weighs 173.5 grams.

Could be rebranded as Xiaomi 14 Lite globally

Last year, Xiaomi rebranded the Civi 2 as the Xiaomi 13 Lite in the global market. Hence, it is likely that the Civi 3 may arrive as the Xiaomi 14 Lite globally. The 13 Lite did not release in India. Hence, whether the 14 Lite will debut in the country is unclear.
