Redmi K60 Ultra design sketch appears well before rumoured launch in August

Redmi K60 Ultra’s design has been revealed in a schematic released by well-known Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station. Redmi unveiled the Redmi K60E, the Redmi K60, and the Redmi K60 Pro in December 2022. The upcoming K60 Ultra is believed to be an affordable flagship offering powered by the latest Dimensity chipset.
The K60 Ultra is expected to compete with the likes of the iQOO 11s, the Realme GT Neo 6, and the OnePlus Ace 2, which are expected to debut in the third quarter of this year in China. Here is a first look at what appears to be the upcoming K60 Ultra.

Redmi K60 Ultra design
Although DCS shared the above schematic, he did not disclose its name. It is widely said that it could be the Redmi K60 Ultra. The handset can be seen sporting a flat display with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides. There is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and on the back, it has a square-shaped camera island. The primary and secondary cameras are large, whereas the third camera is small and placed below the LED flash.

According to reports, the Redmi K60 Ultra will come equipped with an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint reader. The device is likely to feature the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, which is the same chip that powers the recently announced iQOO Neo 8 Pro in the Chinese market.
The K60 Ultra is expected to come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will run on the MIUI 14-based Android 13 OS. The phone may pack a big battery and support 100W charging.
Redmi K60 Ultra launch timeframe (rumoured)
In August of last year, Redmi introduced the Redmi K50 Ultra, and a couple of months later, in October, it unveiled the Xiaomi 12T Pro, targeting the global market. It is anticipated that this year, the company will follow a similar pattern with the launch of the Redmi K60 Ultra in August, followed by a modified version called the Xiaomi 13T Pro expected to be released in September or October.
