Fans can soon watch Takkar on Netflix. While details regarding the same have not been shared officially, several media reports have published that Takkar is likely to stream on the above-mentioned OTT platform four to five weeks soon after its theatrical run. The film will release in theatres on June 9, 2023, in Tamil and Telugu.

Directed by Karthik G. Krish and written by Karthik and Shrinivas Kaviinayam, Takkar is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios. Fans have taken to social media to express their eager anticipation of the film as actor Siddharth makes a return after a short break with Takkar. He was last seen in the 2021 Telugu language release, Mahasamudram, against Sharwanand and Aditi Rao Hydari. His last Tamil film was Aruvam in 2019. Ahead of the release, he mentioned that “Takkar” had been filmed on a grand scale and categorized as an action film. He further added that director Karthik G. Krish had incorporated a modern love story into the narrative, which would prove to be quite refreshing for the audience. Siddharth expressed confidence that the film would undeniably provide entertainment and keep the viewers engaged.
