OnePlus V Fold CAD renders have emerged in a new report by SmartPrix that cites reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer as a source. The renders offer an initial glimpse of OnePlus’ inaugural foldable phone, unveiling it to the public for the first time.

OnePlus is yet to confirm the name of its first foldable phone. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the device will be called the OnePlus V Fold or the OnePlus Fold. Rumours are rife that the OnePlus V Fold will be a rebranded version of the OPPO Find N3 foldable phone, which is expected to debut in August exclusively for the Chinese market. Here is a look at the OnePlus V Fold’s design.

OnePlus V Fold design

The OnePlus V Fold renders reveal an elegant leather finish on the back. Notably, the rear shell showcases a circular camera module with three cameras, one of which has a periscope zoom lens, and prominent Hasselblad branding. Interestingly, the LED flash unit deviates from the conventional placement and is positioned separately outside the camera island, oddly situated at the upper-left corner of the rear panel. Moreover, below the camera module, there is a distinctive OnePlus logo.

Around the edges, the device is equipped with a volume rocker, a power button integrated with a fingerprint sensor, an alert slider, a USB Type-C port, and dual speakers. On the inside, there is a foldable screen with a selfie camera placed at the top-right corner. On the outside, there is a cover display with a centrally aligned punch-hole.

OnePlus V Fold specifications (rumoured)

The OnePlus V Fold is said to pack the same specifications that will be available on the Find N3. Reports have revealed that the device will be equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED cover screen and an 8-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with support for a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be backed by a 4,805mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The OnePlus V Fold is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Its highest configuration model may pack 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will run on Android 13 OS, which will be overlaid with OxygenOS 13.1.

The OnePlus V Fold’s rear camera setup will have an OIS-enabled Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 64-megapixel telephoto periscope camera. On the outside, it may feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and a 20-megapixel or a 32-megapixel snapper could be present inside the device. For an enhanced photography experience, the device may come equipped with the MariSilicon X ISP.

OnePlus V Fold launch date

Currently, there is no official announcement regarding the OnePlus V Fold launch date. However, according to reports, the Find N3 is anticipated to be launched in August. Our exclusive report, published earlier this month, disclosed that the OnePlus V Fold is likely to make its global debut in the first half of August. The company is expected to hold a launch event for the device in New York. Furthermore, it is expected that the OnePlus V Fold will be available in various markets, including the United States and India.
