Everyone is waiting for Maruti Suzuki to launch their EV in India. The company showcased its first-ever EV during the Auto Expo 2023, the Maruti Suzuki eVX. Since then, we have not heard a word about the car. But now it has been spotted testing in Poland.
The EV is being developed in partnership with Toyota and is expected to make its way to the Indian shores in 2025. It is expected to compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX electric SUV has entered the close-to-production prototype stage, as evidenced by a recently spotted test mule in Krakow, Poland. The camouflaged vehicle provides a glimpse of the potential design, resembling the earlier showcased concept with its upright front fascia, muscular bonnet, and squared-out wheel arches. However, the eVX exhibits smoother creases and a less aggressive stance compared to the original concept. Additionally, it adopts a conventional ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirror) from existing Maruti Suzuki cars instead of the concept’s sleek camera-based rearview monitoring system.
Although the concept’s interiors were never revealed, the test mule’s interior offers insights into what can be expected. The dashboard features a twin display setup akin to the Mahindra XUV700 and a floating centre console with two storage levels. Vertical AC vents flank the dash, and Maruti Suzuki seems to have adopted a new two-spoke steering wheel design. The eVX is expected to include powered seats, with the possibility of ventilated seats.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Specifications
Most of the details about the Maruti Suzuki’s first EV are still under wraps. But, the company previously stated that the eVX could be equipped with a 60kWh battery pack, offering a range of 550km on a full charge. Additionally, an entry-level variant of the eVX is expected to be available, featuring a 48kWh battery pack with an estimated real-world range of 400km.
