Meta is bringing new features to its latest social network, Threads.

Threads iOS app developer Cameron Roth has detailed the new features added to the iOS version of Threads. Take a look at the post he posted on the Threads app. Take a look:

Threads New Features

  • 👓 Translations! – Translations for various languages, possibly like the translations feature on Twitter. 
  • 👥 Follows tab on activity feed – A much-needed feature that lets users see only posts from their followed accounts. 
  • 🔔 Subscribe to unfollowed users – This lets you subscribe to unfollowed users on Threads. 
  • ❤ Activity feed scrolling + loading improvements – App improvements on activity feed scrolling and loading. 
  • 👀 following + on thread replies page – A new following and on thread replies page on Threads. 
  • 👆 tappable reposter labels – You can tap on the reposter now. 
  • 📸 open the IG followers list – You can now open the Instagram followers list among your followers. 
  • 🔧 a few small crash fixes. we’re now at 0.02%📉 – Other Improvements for fixing crashes. 
  • 🔪 more binary size cuts
  • 🐞 a handful of other small bugs

These changes are now available on the iOS version of the Threads app as a server-side update. Users don’t need to update the app to see these changes. Cameron Roth suggests users restart the Threads app on their phones to see these features. If you don’t see the new features, he suggests you wait until the end of the day. He also notes, “We use a system of server-delivered flags which can take a while to fully release.”

Currently, iOS users will only be able to see these changes, and the status of this update for Android users is currently unknown. As with new features in WhatsApp, we can expect these new features to drop on Android devices soon. But we don’t have a timeline for that.
