In 2022, it was reported that the movie franchise would also be developed as a web series, retelling the high-octane action tale in a completely different format, and now it is confirmed. A well-established platform will soon release the web series version of Commando. The trailer is out, and it packs a power-packed punch. Prem Parrijaa plays the central character in it. Adah Sharma, last seen in the 2023 film The Kerala Story, returns to the screen reprising her role from Commando 2 and Commando 3 (movies) in the series. The streamer shared the trailer of Commando on YouTube on July 31, 2023. Although it has sparked excitement among fans of the franchise, Vidyut Jammwal is also missed. The trailer description reads, ‘A Commando will never leave a brother behind, even if it means crossing all borders and lines. Watch the action-packed thriller #HotstarSpecials #Commando, streaming from 11th August.’ According to reports, Prem Parrijaa and Adah Sharma have performed the action sequences of Commando without body doubles.
