Vivo Pad Air specifications, design, colour options officially confirmed, launch imminent

Vivo Pad Air has been announced in China. Vivo China’s Vice President Jia Jingdong took to Weibo today to reveal its key specifications, design, and colour options. The device is expected to rival the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the upcoming OPPO Pad Air 2 in the Chinese market.

Vivo entered the tablet market in China last year by announcing the Vivo Pad. This year, the brand announced the Vivo Pad 2 with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip onboard in April. The Pad Air’s price has not been confirmed yet, but the confirmed specifications suggest that it will be positioned below the Pad 2. Read on to learn everything about the upcoming tablet.

The Vivo Pad Air has a metallic body that is 6.67mm thick and weighs 530 grams. It features an 11.5-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen also has a 3:2 aspect ratio and a P3 colour gamut. For audiophiles, the device is equipped with a quad-speaker system.

The Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the Vivo Pad Air. It is backed by an 8,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. The tablet will come pre-loaded with Android 13, which is overlaid with a tablet-optimised version of OriginOS 3.0.

The company has not yet confirmed the RAM, storage configuration, and camera specifications of the tablet. The device is confirmed to support the Vivo Pencil 2 stylus. In terms of appearance, the upcoming tablet looks quite similar to the Pad 2.

Vivo Pad Air price and availability

The Vivo Pad Air’s price has not been confirmed yet. It is expected to go on sale in China later this month. When available, it will be sold in shades of Free Blue, Brave Pink, and Easy Silver. The Vivo Pad and Pad 2 were not released in markets outside of China. It is unclear whether the Pad Air will be announced globally.
