ETAuto’s latest report reveals that Renault is planning to introduce nine new products in India over the next three to four years. This roadmap encompasses both updates to existing models and the introduction of new electric vehicles (EVs).

According to Venkat Mamilapalle, CEO and MD of Renault India, among the nine upcoming offerings, at least two will be EVs. The debut of the first EV is anticipated either late next year or by early 2025.

The report suggests that the initial EV will likely be an all-electric version of the Kwid entry-level hatchback, priced under Rs 10 lakh. Positioned at this price point, the Kwid EV will contend with rivals such as the Tata Tiago EV, MG Comet EV, and the Citroen eC3. Importantly, it’s worth noting that the Kwid EV is already available in Europe under the name Dacia Spring Electric.
