DD Returns OTT Release Date: Where and When to Watch the Tamil Film

DD Returns (also known as Dhilluku Dhuddu 3) is a 2023 comedy-horror genre Tamil-language film directed by S. Prem Anand. C Ramesh Kumar produces it under RK Entertainment. The plot surrounds the story of a group of friends who find themselves attending a game night hosted by the ghosts of a wealthy family in a bungalow. What ensues is a ‘bag’ full of laughter amongst the horror.

DD Returns Cast and Crew

This movie has a wonderful lineup of actors like – Santhanam, who plays Sathish.  He’s known for his work in films such as Sachien (2005) and Polladhavan (2007). He soon became a staple as a comedian in successful Tamil films. The female lead is Surbhi, who plays Sofia, Redin Kingsley as Benn, Lollu Sabha Maaran and Pradeep Rawat, amongst others.

The film was initially going to be directed by Rambhala, who directed the movie Idiot (2022), and it was intended to be in 3D format. However, post changes in the production house, Prem Anand stepped in to direct the film.

DD Returns Storyline

The creators intended to capture the audience’s interest with a unique horror soaked with humour. The protagonist Santhanam and his friends hide a bag full of jewels, money and loot in a haunted bungalow to ditch the police who are after them. When they go to retrieve the bag, a family of ghosts, who were the owners of the bungalow,  make them play a game of survival to leave (alive) with the bag. If the mortals win this game night, they are free to leave with their belongings, if not – they will be made to stay against their will.
