WhatsApp has been adding new features back to back to the stable version, such as creating WhatsApp groups without names, HD video sharing, and more. WhatsApp was also caught testing upcoming features and changes such as a newly designed UI, AI sticker generator within WhatsApp, and more.
This new feature has been spotted by WABetaInfo. In the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.17.8, we can see the multi-user option in action. Take a look:
The screenshot shows two new features:
- The multi-user option – We can see the option to add an account to a WhatsApp installation.
- A redesigned settings page – The WhatsApp Settings page has been redesigned with a new look.
WhatsApp was also caught testing email verification recently. This new multi-user option could fit right in with adding email to user accounts.
How To Add a New User Account To WhatsApp
Here’s how you can add a new user account to your WhatsApp:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone. Make sure your WhatsApp is on the latest version of WhatsApp Beta for Android.
- Open Settings on your phone.
- Besides the user name on the Settings page, click on the down arrow button.
- This will show you the option to add an account.
- Click on the add account option.
- Login to your WhatsApp account.
- Now, you can use two WhatsApp accounts in a single WhatsApp installation.
