Xiaomi MIX Flip name has appeared in the IMEI database, as shown in the image below. This strongly suggests that it will be the moniker of Xiaomi’s first-ever foldable screen clamshell-style phone.
Competitor brands, such as Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, and Huawei, have already launched vertically folding smartphones, but Xiaomi has not launched one yet, despite launching the Xiaomi MIX Fold series of horizontally folding phones for the past three years in China. Xiaomi MIX Flip launch timeframe (rumoured)
By mid-2023, a Xiaomi device with model number 2311BPN23C had been spotted in the IMEI database. However, it is only now that another IMEI database listing has confirmed that it will be called the Xiaomi MIX Flip. The number “2311” hints that the device could be launched in November 2023.
Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be announced in November in China. Hence, it is likely that the Xiaomi MIX Flip may debut with the Xiaomi 14 lineup. Contradictory reports state that the device may launch with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the first quarter of 2024.

The MIX Flip is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is speculated that the rear-facing triple camera unit of the device will have a telephoto camera that supports up to 3x optical zoom. The other specifications of the MIX Flip are under wraps.
