Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue

After the success of OMG 2, Akshay Kumar’s next theatrical release is the survival thriller Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on October 6 2023, and its teaser is already out. The earlier titles of the movie included The Great Indian Rescue and Capsule Gill. The biopic film is based on Jaswant Singh Gill, a mining engineer, and Amar Joshi, a police officer who saved 64 miners in 1989 at the Raniganj Coalfields. Kumar essays the character of Jaswant Singh Gill, who risked his life to save others. Parineeti Chopra will be seen as the female lead protagonist in the film.

In March 2023, Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram account and announced his forthcoming untitled film. It is the remake of the five National Film Awards-winning film Soorarai Pottru. The movie is somewhat inspired by the real-life events of Captain G.R. Gopinath, the founder of the Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan/Air Deccan. Initially, the film was scheduled to be released theatrically on September 1; however, it is yet to come. There is no announcement about the title, trailer, or release date.

Akshay Kumar is collaborating with Ali Abbas Zafar for his 2024 EID release, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Tiger Shroff will star in it alongside the actor. Power-packed posters of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan are out in the public domain, and the film promises to be a high-octane action entertainer.
