Sonos Era 300 and Era 100 speakers with Dolby Atmos support launched in India: Check features, price and availability

Sonos has introduced the Era 300 and Era 100 speakers in India. The Era 300 is the brand’s first speaker with spatial audio support, meanwhile the Era 100 is a remaster of its best-selling Sonos One speaker. Let us delve into the features, price and availability of these speakers.

Sonos Era 300: Features

The Sonos Era 300 speaker features the company’s “cinched hourglass design” that claims to enhance the sound output. It is equipped with six Class-D amplifiers that facilitate the delivery of audio in all directions. In addition to the drivers, the device incorporates four tweeters for high and mid-range frequencies and two woofers for low-end output.

The speaker utilises TruePlay technology, which measures the acoustics of the room and fine-tunes the EQ accordingly. The device supports spatial audio playback, thanks to Dolby Atmos. It can be connected with audio devices such as a turntable using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos line-in adapter. Users also have the option to pair two speakers with Arc or Beam (Gen 2) to create a more immersive sound experience. Some additional features include Sonos Voice Control, capacitive volume slider, sound slider Wi-Fi, Apple AirPlay 2 support, and Bluetooth.

Sonos Era 300: Price and Availability

The Sonos Era 300 will be available in India starting October 20, 2023, and is priced at Rs 54,999. Pre-orders can be placed on Sonos’s website from October 15, 2023.

Sonos Era 100: Features

The Era 100 speaker features a classic cylindrical design and is equipped with three Class-D amplifiers. The speaker includes two angled tweeters, which claim to ensure accurate high-frequency response and stereo separation. It also incorporates a woofer to support mid-range output with deeper bass. The Era 100 also integrates TruePlay technology and shares the same additional features as the Era 300 speaker.
