The Haier front loading washing machine boasts an appealing design with a neutral colour scheme that seamlessly blends into the washing area. Its user-friendly interface places most of the controls on the front, which are primarily touch-enabled for convenient operation. Additionally, the inclusion of a rotating crown for mode selection, although the rationale behind offering two modes might not be immediately clear, proves to be intuitive and straightforward to use.

Performance

The 9Kg model of this front-loading washing machine proves to be ample for a family of four, offering a wide range of modes to choose from, such as cotton, mix, Allergy care, quick 15, delicate, refresh, baby care, Bedding, underwear, and Spin. The cleaning quality is consistently good across all modes, with the most impressive being the quick 15, which efficiently cleans clothes in just 15 minutes. Additionally, the refresh mode completes the job in a mere 18 minutes. For those looking for an added level of cleanliness, there’s the option to introduce steam, although this feature is not available for quick wash or refresh cycles and extends the overall cleaning time by approximately 30 minutes. The standout benefit of this machine is that clothes emerge wrinkle-free, and with the added steam cycle, they are ready to be ironed and worn without the need for airing. This feature proves particularly valuable during monsoon seasons, eliminating any lingering wet laundry odours throughout the house.

The washing machine comes equipped with a high-efficiency ABT (Anti-Bacterial Technology) that’s dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the gasket and detergent dispenser. Furthermore, it incorporates Dual Spray technology and the PuriSteam function, designed to work together to eliminate bacteria, allergens, and mites, thereby ensuring a comprehensive cleansing process. However, it’s essential to note that while these features sound promising, it’s challenging for users to objectively measure their effectiveness without specific testing or data.

The washing machine offers options to adjust the temperature for steam and set a delayed start, allowing for greater customization and convenience in your laundry routine. Additionally, the self-cleaning feature is a practical addition, ensuring the machine remains in good condition over time. It’s worth noting that this feature is increasingly common in modern machines and plays a vital role in maintaining their performance and longevity.

This washing machine is equipped with smart capabilities and can be connected via a mobile app. Initially, we felt that this feature had limited utility, as it requires activating the machine and switching it to app mode. However, it does come in handy when you wish to add an extra cycle or need to time the laundry to be completed by the time you return home, avoiding leaving clothes in the machine throughout the day. This smart feature adds a layer of convenience and flexibility to your laundry routine, allowing you to manage your washing tasks better.

Verdict

The Haier front-loading washing machine proves to be an excellent choice, offering a wide range of modes and convenient app navigation. The standout feature is the 15-minute wash cycle, which performs exceptionally well. We found the cleaning quality on this machine to be good in the other modes as well. Another noteworthy aspect is the noise level, it makes very less noise when working and that enhances its overall appeal.
