Vivo recently unveiled the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro smartphones in China. Unlike the Xiaomi 14 series and the iQOO 12 lineup, which have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the X100 series features the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The Vivo X100 series is receiving a good market response in China, as the company confirmed that the X100 and X100 Pro have set unprecedented records in Vivo’s history, surpassing RMB 1 billion in initial sales by selling around 250,000 units. The X100 lineup also includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Vivo X100 Pro+, but it was not announced alongside the X100 and X100 Pro. Here is a look at the launch timeframe and expected specifications of the X100 Pro+.

Reportedly, Vivo has opted to introduce a time gap of several months between the release of the existing X100 series phones and the upcoming Pro+. This decision is likely aimed at preventing any potential sales overlap between the X100, X100 Pro, and the upcoming Pro+. A Chinese leaker has claimed that the device is expected to launch in April.

The same event may likely see the arrival of other products, such as the Vivo Pad 3 tablet and the Vivo X Fold 3, X Fold 3, and X Flip 2 foldable phones. The same source has also dubbed the device the Vivo X100 Ultra, which suggests that the company may call it an ‘Ultra’ model instead of Pro+.

Vivo X100 Pro+ camera specifications (rumored)

Previous reports have revealed that the Vivo X100 Ultra will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support. The same camera sensor, which is said to be a modified version of the existing 1-inch Sony IMX989 lens, will be available on competitor phones, such as the OPPO Find X7 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

According to previous leaks, the primary camera of the X100 Pro+ will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel IMX598 ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel IMX758 portrait camera. As per a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the device will have a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, which will offer a 100mm focal length and 200x digital zoom.

As far as other specifications are concerned, the Vivo X100 Ultra will feature a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution. It will house a 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. For selfies, it will have a 32-megapixel camera, and it will run on OriginOS 4-based Android 14.
