According to John Rocha, host of “The Hot Mic” podcast, Marvel’s current picks include Josh Hartnett (Oppenheimer), Ralph Fiennes (The Menu), Jason Clarke (Oppenheimer), and even Ryan Gosling. According to Hollywood insider John Campea, Marvel has reportedly had a discussion with Mads Mikkelsen for the role of Doctor Doom. A new report now suggests Cillian Murphy is Marvel’s top choice to play Doctor Doom.

Bigger roles for Doctor Doom in the MCU

Other than just being a Fantastic Four villain, Marvel could have bigger plans for Doctor Doom in the MCU. According to a report by Looper, Doctor Doom might soon grow to become a major villain in the MCU, replacing Kang the Conqueror. The speculation comes from actor Jonathan Majors who plays the role of Kang the Conqueror, his arrest and how it could lead to less focus on Kang. There’s no confirmation now, and with Majors’ case still ongoing, it’s better to wait before jumping to any conclusion.

Fantastic Four cast (expected)

Coming back to the main cast, there’s no official confirmation yet, but several reports have made suggestions on the possible lineup. Joining Pedro Pascal could be Vanessa Kirby for the role of Sue Storm, Joseph for Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach for Ben Grimm.
