Kanye West and Ty Dolla’s New Album Vultures Release Date

Kanye West, who is now popularly known as Ye, is all ready to drop his next studio album. This happens to be his 11th one, and this time, he has joined forces with frequent collaborator Ty Dolla $ign. Their joint project has been named Vultures and is expected to make waves in the music scene of hip hop.

This is Ye’s first music venture since facing backlash for controversial remarks made in 2022. Back in October 2022, Ye tweeted “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” and echoed popular antisemitic talking points about Jewish people controlling the entertainment industry and media in subsequent television appearances. During Paris Fashion Week earlier that month, he wore a T-shirt that read “White Lives Matter,” a phrase often associated with white supremacy.

His business relationships suffered setbacks in the weeks leading up to the album’s release. Adidas severed its partnership with Yeezy sneakers despite the sneakers raking in billions of dollars for the German sportswear giant. In addition, Gap terminated a 10-year distribution deal with Yeezy Wear signed in 2020.

Release Date of  Vultures

Ye’s 2021 album, Donda, earned him a pair of Grammy Awards the following year. Vultures continues the successful musical collaboration between Ye and Ty Dolla $ign. They are known for hits such as Ego Death (2020), Everything We Need (2019), Real Friends (2016), and Only One (2014). Adding yet another chapter to Ye’s career, the album will be released on Friday, December 15.

There are several songs on Ty Dolla $ign’s upcoming album, including Beg Forgiveness, Timbo Freestyle, Worship, Gun to My Head, and New Body. Fans are particularly interested in New Body, speculating that it might be the long-awaited collaboration with Nicki Minaj. On TikTok, a leaked version of the track has gained viral attention. Additionally, the album cover for Vultures has been revealed, adding to the excitement ahead of its release on December 15.

The backdrop of Israel-Hamas War

The release of Vultures coincides with global events such as the Israel-Hamas conflict and a troubling rise in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. There have been over 800 reports of antisemitic acts since October 7, adding yet another layer of context to the release of the album. There has already been controversy surrounding the title track of the album, Vultures. Ye’s lyrics regarding relationships with Jewish women were criticized when it debuted on streaming platforms last month.
