Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 cast announced: Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski and more

Nine Perfect Strangers is returning for another season, and it has just announced two new cast members. Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy and The Good Fight’s Christine Baranski have been added as the latest cast members to join Nicole Kidman in Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers season 2. The show first aired in 2021, and it was supposed to be a limited series but a second season was announced earlier this year.

Details of Murphy and Baranski’s characters haven’t been revealed yet but their names have been confirmed. In Nine Perfect Strangers season 2, Murphy will play the role of Imogen, while Baranski will take the role of Victoria. Murphy is known for playing Alexis Rose in the hit comedy sitcom Schitt’s Creek for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe nomination as well. Christine Baranski, a 15-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee was part of the leading cast for The Good Fight that ran for six seasons from 2017 to 2022. Both Murphy and Barasnki will join as series regulars in season 2.

Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 cast

As for the rest of the cast, Barlett from The Last of Us and The White Lotus will play the role of Brian. Filipino actress Dolly De Leon (Triangle of Sadness) is set to take the role of Agnes, while Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Undeclared War) will portray Wolfie. Aras Aydin will act as Matteo, Lucas Englander (Transatlantic) as Martin, and musician King Princess who will play as Tina.

Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 release date

There’s no official release date assigned for Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 yet. But going by the shooting schedule of season 1 which was between  July and December, we’re expecting an August 2024 release for Nine Perfect Strangers season 2. This is all speculation though and it’s best to wait for an official confirmation. With the cast lineup announced, Hulu is expected to reveal more details for Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 soon.

Nine Perfect Strangers season 1

Nine Perfect Strangers debuted in August, 2021 as en eight-episode show. It stars Nicole Kidman as Masha, a resort’s director where nine stressed city dwellers visit for a retreat. It’s a boutique health-and-wellness resort where the guests are promised healing and transformation. Nine Perfect Strangers is based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The author also served as an executive producer on the first season.

Alongside Nicole Kidman in Nine Perfect Strangers season 1, the cast lineup included Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto starred in the first season.
