HTech reintroduced the Honor brand last year in India by announcing the Honor 90 5G smartphone. There have been reports that the company will be introducing more Honor devices in the coming year. A new report by BhaskarLive claims that the brand will be expanding its ecosystem in 2024. Here is what to expect from the brand in the new year.
According to the report, HTech will launch multiple AIoT devices in the near year, starting with the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 TWS by early 2024. The report claims that the brand will announce a range of hearables, wearables, and other IoT devices across different price segments, expanding its product portfolio beyond mobile phones.
Honor X9b
In alignment with the Indian government’s vision to establish India as a manufacturing hub, HTech aims to commence locally manufacturing Honor devices in 2024. By this, it also aims to add approximately 4,000 new jobs by the end of the next year. As far as after-sales are concerned, the brand has around 400 service centres across the country.
In related news, a report by 91mobiles that was published in November claimed that Honor may unveil the Honor X9b smartphone along with the Choice Earbuds X5 TWS in January 2024. The arrival of the X9b seems imminent as it was recently approved by India’s BIS authority.
The Honor X9b will arrive with a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits of maximum brightness, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device runs MagicOS 7.2 UI-based Android 13 and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. It comes with a 5,800mAh battery and supports 35W fast charging.
The Honor X9b has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 108-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro triple camera unit. In Saudi Arabia, the device is available for SR 1,399 (~Rs 31,000).
