Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC (downloadable content) ‘The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero’ is confirmed to get a bonus epilogue this month. The DLC has so far released two instalments — The Teal Mask and Indigo Disk. Now fans of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will get some extra content to explore, and it’s coming as early as next week. For those unaware, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

The new bonus epilogue for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is scheduled to release on January 11th. Looking back at previous releases, The Teal Mask arrived in September last year, and The Indigo Disk was released in December.

A short trailer for the new bonus epilogue has been released for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. It’s a very short 40-second trailer that gives us a glimpse of what’s in store in the Land of Kitakami. This location has already been featured in The Teal Mask. It does confirm though that this bonus epilogue will see your academy friends Nemona, Arven and Penny from the base game. This will be the first time we see these characters join the DLC.

The new epilogue will be bonus content but it’s expected to be a short one unlike the previous instalments. This is because it wasn’t part of the original announcement when the DLC was announced. This epilogue also lacks a title like the The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. As for what exactly the story will focus on, it isn’t clear yet but it’s expected to wrap up the Paldea region. We should know soon enough since the release date is less than a week away.

The previous instalments were a two-part expansion of a single story that revolved around the siblings Kieran and Carmine. The two siblings together made The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, and the epilogue is expected to provide an ending to the story.

But if you want to get to the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet epilogue, you will have complete a post-game event in the main story. You’ll also have to complete the stories in The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk expansions.

There’s also an update slated to arrive for  Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This update is expected to fix several bugs that have been present in the game ever since it launched in 2022. The new update should also fix performance issues in the game.
