Oppo has just launched the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro smartphones on the global market. However, it appears that the brand could be working on the Reno 12 lineup for the Chinese market. In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the key specifications of what appears to be the Reno 12 Pro or 12 Pro+ variant.
To recall, Oppo unveiled the Reno 10 series of smartphones in May 2023 in China. It included three models, such as the Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro, and Reno 10 Pro+. These devices were powered by the Snapdragon 778G, the Dimensity 8200, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. The global editions of the Reno 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro+, which debuted in July 2023, featured Dimensity 7050, Dimensity 8200, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
OPPO Reno 11 series launch date-
In November 2023, the Reno 11 and 11 Pro will be equipped with the Dimensity 8200 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. The Reno 11’s global version features the Dimensity 7050 chipset. On the other hand, the Chinese version of the Reno 11 was rebranded as the Dimensity 8200-powered Reno 11 Pro.
At present, it is unclear whether the Reno 12 lineup will include two or three models. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the topmost variant in the series will feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8-series chipset. So, it appears that either the Reno 12 Pro or 12 Pro+ will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
In addition, the leaker revealed that the Reno 12 series will be equipped with a high-quality periscope telephoto camera, but he did not mention the exact name of the camera sensor.
At present, there is no information on the launch timeframe of the Reno 12 lineup. The brand may likely take off covers from the Reno 12 series in May 2024. Probably, it may also arrive on the global market by June or July 2024.
