Google Pixel 9 Pro design, display size revealed via CAD renders

Google Pixel 9 Pro CAD renders have emerged in a new report by MySmartPrice. The renders designed by reliable leaker OnLeaks gives the first look at the design of the Pixel 9 Pro. The images show that the Pixel 9 Pro will not offer an overhaul improvement in the design aspect when compared to the Pixel 8 Pro.

The Pixel 9 Pro CAD renders show that it will have a punch-hole display with rounded corners. It has a flat screen, which is said to measure 6.5 inches diagonally. Hence, it appears that Google may offer a smaller display on the Pixel 9 Pro, as its predecessor is fitted with a 6.7-inch screen.

The CAD renders show that the Pixel 9 Pro is equipped with flat edges, with antenna markings on the left and a power button and a volume controller on the right. At the top, the device is fitted with a microphone and an mmWave antenna cover, whereas its bottom is populated with a SIM slot, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.

The camera module available in the back is aligned horizontally, and it houses three cameras, with one of them being a periscope telephoto camera. The primary camera of the device is said to support a variable aperture. Apart from the cameras, the horizontal camera island has an LED flash and what appears to be a temperature sensor towards the right.

The report states that the Google Pixel 9 Pro measures 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5mm. In comparison, the Pixel 8 Pro measures 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.8mm. At the bump, the device measures 12.1mm in thickness, according to the report.

The Pixel 9 is expected to sport the same design language as the Pro variant. However, it is expected to house a smaller display and may feature a dual-camera system on the back, like the Pixel 8. Now that OnLeaks has revealed the design of the Pixel 8 Pro, it is likely that he may also share the Pixel 9 CAD renders in the coming days.

The Pixel 9 series is expected to feature the upcoming Tensor G4 chipset. In addition, the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro could be the first Google phones to ship with the Pixie AI assistant. As far as the launch timeframe is concerned, the Pixel 9 series may break cover by early October this year.
