Apple A18 Pro Geekbench scores have been leaked by tipster Nguyen Phi Hung. The tipster has previously disclosed benchmark scores for unannounced chipsets, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Dimensity 9400. The leak suggests that the A18 Pro will arrive with a vast improvement in single-core performance compared to its predecessor, the A17 Pro.

The authenticity of the leak could not be confirmed, as we could not find a relevant Geekbench listing supporting the leaker’s claim about the A18 Pro. It is speculated that the A18 Pro will power the Pro models in the iPhone 16 series, which is set to debut in September this year.

The upcoming Apple A18 Pro will succeed the A17 Pro, which powers the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models. On Geekbench 6, the A17 Pro-powered iPhone 15 Pro Max scored 2898 points in the single-core test and 7201 points in the multi-core test.

In comparison, according to leaks, the upcoming Apple A18 Pro has scored 3500 and 8200 in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 6, respectively. The A18 Pro’s single-core is even better than the latest Apple M3 chipset, which achieved a score of 3170 on Geekbench 6. While the A18 Pro Geekbench scores show an overall improvement compared to the A17 Pro, it is quite evident that the chip will offer vastly improved single-core performance.

The A18 Pro also promises better single-core performance than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. In the single-core test on Geekbench 6, the SD8G4 and D9400 recorded 2845 and 2776 points, respectively. On the other hand, both chips scored 10,628 and 11,739 points in the multi-core test.

Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will debut in October this year, whereas the Vivo X200 series may come equipped with the Dimensity 9400 around the same timeframe. The Apple 18 Pro-powered iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are expected to debut in September. It remains to be seen whether the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will feature the Pro or Bionic-labelled chipset.
