Xiaomi’s Leica-collaborated device is likely to launch soon and could be either the Xiaomi 14 or 14 Ultra. Xiaomi entered into a partnership with Leica in 2022, and since then, the brand has been consistently launching flagship phones featuring cameras optimized by Leica. Fast forward to the present, Xiaomi India has announced its collaboration in India, hinting that a new flagship phone might be on the horizon for the market.

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro in October in China. Although the company has previously released Pro models, such as the Xiaomi 13 Pro and 12 Pro in India, this time, the brand may introduce the Xiaomi 14, as it was recently spotted in the database of India’s BIS certification. Hence, it seems that the Xiaomi 14 may launch soon in India. Here is a look at the specifications of the device.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In China, the device is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone houses a 4,610mAh battery with 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support.

In China, the Xiaomi 14 is available with a starting price of RMB 3,999 (~Rs 46,650) and comes in shades like black, white, silver, and green. It is likely that the device will be available for around Rs 50,000 in India.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

Xiaomi is also said to be working on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Speculations suggest it will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 tech trade show, which will be held later this month in Barcelona, Spain. The global version of the 14 Ultra was recently spotted in the database of BIS authority, hinting that it may launch in India.

According to reports, it will first launch in China before releasing in other markets. So, it appears that the device teased by Xiaomi India could be the Xiaomi 14 and not the 14 Ultra. However, consumers eagerly await the official confirmation and details surrounding the impending flagship device.
