iQOO Z9 5G India launch date has been confirmed. The device is all set to hit the Indian market on March 12th, 2024. The handset will arrive as the successor to the iQOO Z7 5G, which came equipped with the Dimensity 920.

According to the official confirmation, the iQOO Z9 5G will feature a newer Dimensity 7000-series chipset. In addition, it has a flagship-grade Sony camera sensor as the primary snapper. The iQOO Z9 5G is confirmed to feature the Dimensity 7200 chipset. The brand has also confirmed that it has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS support.

According to other sources, the iQOO Z9 5G will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Z9 is expected to ship with Android 14 with a layer of FunTouch OS 14 on top.

The iQOO Z9 5G is said to arrive with a 5,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging. It may come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera system of the device will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera. However, there is no information about the auxiliary camera that will accompany it.

iQOO Z9 5G price in India (expected)

The iQOO Z7 5G was introduced with a price of Rs 18,999 last year. Hence, it is likely that the Z9 will have a sub-Rs 20,000 price tag when it arrives in the country. Apart from the green variant shown above, the Z9 is expected to arrive in a blue option. As far as availability is concerned, the device will be sold through the Amazon and iQOO India websites.
