After finishing one successful season of the show, the makers of Tamil-language crime thriller, Iru Dhuruvam, are all set to release the second season of the show, which is touted to keep the audiences hooked to the screens again.

Iru Dhuruvam S2 – When and Where to Watch

Fans can watch Iru Dhuruvam S2 on SonyLIV from February 24, 2023. The announcement was made recently while the trailer was launched. The message shared by the makers on SonyLIV’s social media platforms read, “Victor must race against time to stop the killing spree unleashed against the police force! How many will he have to lose to get to the truth? Watch #IruDhuruvamS2 from Feb 24 on Sony LIV.”

This was the first Tamil Original show which streamed on SonyLIV in September 2019, and had a total o nine episodes. After much thought, the makers renewed the show for another season which was announced in October 2021

Iru Dhuruvam S2: Cast and Crew

Written and directed by Arun Prakash, Iru Dhuruvam is produced by Sameer Nair and Pramod Cheruvalath under Applause Entertainment and A Sign of Life Productions banner. The show stars Nandaa Dorairaj, Prasanna Venkatesan, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Linga, Sai Priyanka Ruth, Abdool Lee, and others.

The music for the first season of show was given by Surya Prasadh R. Raja K Bakthavatchalam managed the cinematography of the show which was edited by Karthik Ram and Ashwath Shivkumar.

Iru Dhuruvam S2: Trailer and Premise

The premise of the show, as mentioned by the makers of IMDb reads, “The series consists of hard-core police investigation stories dealing with investigation, detection and suspense.” The second season will continue from where the last episode of the previous season ended. The forthcoming episode will show how Victor stops the killing of the police force by racing against time and the number of people who will be dead before the truth is revealed.

 

Iru Dhuruvam: Review and IMDb Rating

Critics and audience gave positive reviews for the show by stating that Iru Dhuruvam kept the audience engaged throughout and managed to achieve what the makers had planned. At the end of the first season, the reviewers highlighted the potential extension of the show based on the characters – Viktor and Kishore. Despite many common elements which are mostly seen in shows of this genre, Iru Dhuruvam, with its sharp narrative, entertained the audience as an interesting psycho-thriller.
