  • Uber has finally updated its app.
  • Focuses more on personalisation.
  • Comes with a new home screen.

Uber has had its UI the same for a long time. It is changing now with its new UI overhaul by redesigning the app to bring in new personalisation features and a new homepage.

Uber said the new design is customised to fit each user’s individual preferences. Offering easy access to all services, consistent experiences and smooth flows through the cab booking process.

Uber days, with the new redesigned Homescreen, it is easier now to book rides on Uber, which shows the most frequent locations of the user first. The frequent locations will be shown just below the destination option (Where to?). It approximates the suggestions from your previous rides based on your location.

The Homescreen also now shows the Services tab to what to do next with Uber. You can select from services such as Auto, Intercity, Rentals, Reserve, Connect and more. The new Activity Hub will let you track the past and upcoming rides in a single place.

On the iOS app, Uber now supports live activities and Dynamic Island. It shows your ETA on the lock screen and the status update of the ride, so you don’t always have to open the app to check it.

Uber explains that this is just a new beginning, and users will see more improvements in the Uber app throughout the year. You can update the Uber app to its latest version on Play Store or App Store to see the changes currently made to the app.
