The company is yet to reveal the price of the 2023 Kona Electric for the global markets, and it might debut in India with the growth of the passenger EV segment. Despite expectations for a facelift of the outgoing Hyundai Kona Electric in India last year, the newer model has yet to be released. Instead, Hyundai has introduced the more expensive Hyundai IONIQ 5 to the Indian market.

As a result, the Korean manufacturer may directly replace the ageing Hyundai Kona Electric with the 2023 redesigned Kona Electric, which is expected to have a higher range and skip the facelift altogether. The price of the new 2023 model is expected to increase by a few lakhs due to the additional range and features.
